Functional Specifications

• Wireless network enabled.  Data from the unit is transmittedover one of the largest wireless networks. 
  
  The three modes of operation are:
  • Synchronous Mode:  Data is continuously transmitted at a user defined rate based on time or distance.
  • Exception/Notification Mode:  The mobile device transmits an alert with current time, speed, position, and other data only if a user defined limit is exceeded.
  • Query Mode:  The device replies to a data request only.
• Customer Defined Speed Limit. The speed limit is programmed into the unit. The unit will transmit an alert to a predefined recipient if the maximum speed is exceeded for a period of time. The speed alert feature can be turned on or off with the web-based Control Panel.
• Vehicle Electrical System Connectivity. The unit can be connected to the vehicle electrical system to enable any two of the following features:  Lock/Unlock doors, trigger horn, Flash parking lights, and Starter immobilizer.
• Geofencing. A Geofence is an invisible boundary that can be defined as a sphere around the mobile device. The user can set the Geofence using the client interface when connected to the Internet. The mobile device proactively monitors the vehicle’s position and automatically exercises customer-defined logic when position readings exceed pre-set ranges. The Geofence can be set around the vehicle at its current location by pressing the optional button.

The User Login area of the tracking site will take you to the Model 100 Control Panel. The Control Panel will allow you to locate your vehicle in real time, check history logs and find the fastest speed of the day. It will also allow you to turn on and off speed alerts or a geofence and control the outputs.
